Every so often under Ubuntu 6.06, MIT Scheme 20060414 fails to start when I
run <scheme -compiler>.  (I'm not sure whether the band matters.)  After two
or three more tries, it always starts just fine.  Here's a transcript of a
failed attempt to start:
