Follow-up Comment #1, bug #63856 (project make):

Thank you for your report.

sv63856_part1.diff implements handling of .WAIT on the command line.
sv63856_part2.diff fixes pruning of double colon rules. This fix is needed in
order for .WAIT to synchronize targets which have multiple double colon rules.
There is a detailed description in the commit message.
The patches are supposed to be applied in order, part1 before part2.
