Bug/Typo in make man Page

Hello all,

The second paragraph under the title DESCTIPTION inside the 'man' page for 'make' command is read:

To prepare to use make, you must write a file called the makefile that describes the relationships among files in your program, and the states the commands for updating each file.

I think ..., and the states the commands for ... should be ..., and states the commands for.... In other words, 'the' before 'states' should be removed for the sentence to make sense.

I am using Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, man 2.7.5, and GNU Make 4.1.

Have a great day.
Pooya
