I typed "make --trace -f test.mk" but it did not work. Sorry, perhaps I have miss-understood how to set this option? Perhaps there is an FAQ. I looked in the Make manual.
I also tried "make -d -f test.mk" but that did not print line numbers. Best regards, Jon
