Yes, that's an obvious example (I forgot about r-t-l systems, sorry!).

Thanks for your cooperation! Maybe, a compromise is possible. Consider
to chunk the --help tableau a little bit (complete paragraphs, of
course): that's better for translators and I'm told some compilers have
certain limits. Perhaps you can take a look at gettext (0.11.x) or a
recent textutils test release (2.0.20 or later).
