Make V3.77 bug?

Hi Guys...

OK, first I want to know if people in the Unix world actually do
maintain two totally different files on their hard drive with the file names
of harry.doc and Harry.doc -- if so, I'm not only impressed, but I will
bow down to your sense of discipline. However, being the buffoon that I
am, I am unable to maintain that level of concentration. Therefore, I
use unique filenames for my files, regardless of the "case" of the letters
used. I am using your version 3.77 "MAKE.EXE" file, running in the
Windows '98 environment. There are some tools that have a nasty habit
of changing the filenames from all lower case to all upper case. It is not
always obvious when this happens. When I then attempt to "make" my
project, any file that is not exactly a "case" match within the contents of
the "makefile" with the file names on the hard drive are skipped. If I delete
the .o file, I get the error "No Rule to Make ....". I am respectfully
requesting
a switch somewhere (environment maybe) that will force the filenames to
match regardless of case. It would make life a lot nicer for me, and I'll bet
many others as well.

    Can you help?
