*** make.exe: [kw.o] Error 11 |

Hello;
i'm using the AVR port of gnu gcc for a small project consisting of a simple
kw.c file. When using make v3.78 from avr-gcc i get errors when trying to
execute make from within an IDE, something like:
process_easy: DuplicateHandle(e=6) failed
So i tried to install the latest version of make (v3.79.1, from the djgpp
distribution), hoping that this error would be resolved. But then i got the
following when executing make:
avr-gcc -c -g -O3 -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wa,-ahlms=kw.lst -msize
-mmcu=at90s2313 -I. kw.c -o kw.o
*** make.exe: [kw.o] Error 11
Issuing the gcc command manually gets executed just fine, it's only the make
which bombs like described above.
Then i installed v2/djdev203.zip thinking that make might want to have the
runtime environment of djgpp around, but this didn't change anything (yes i
closed and re-opened the DOS box). This all happens on NT 4.0, i am aware of
short file names and used 16bit unzip.
Do you have any tips for me resolving either the first or the second of my
problems?
Regards, and many thanks in advance,

For a starter, i've put the debug output of make below.
