    I think so -- imap.el from Gnus does more, for instance.  However, if
    you don't want/need to use IMAP facilities, I guess there's nothing
    wrong with just grabbing your mail through movemail.  Rmail rather
    assumes you work like that, doesn't it?  I thought that's why it's a
    todo item.

I guess that is why, I'm just wondering about what's the right way to
handle this.

Could imap.el from Gnus do the job for Rmail as well?
If so, maybe that's the easiest way, rather than changing movemail.
