It's not a question of CVS Jeff, it's about how easy it is to compile
mailutils
and deliver fixes to the project. The easier it is to hack the more fixes
you'll get.

I've got quite a lot of IMAP experience and I would provide some fixes to
the code, but I can't get it to build (even now) on a standard i686 debian
box.

I've been toying for ages about writing an IMAP server in java: I think
I'll do that now.
