I got the following bug report:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=154748&repeatmerged=yes
``While the package info says that mailutils provides "mailx", there is
no symlink /usr/bin/mailx ot /usr/bin/mail as it is provided by the
(conflicting) package "mailx".
Probably some other programs/scripts are relying on the existance of
/usr/bin/mailx.
Therefore a symlink /usr/bin/mailx pointing to "mail" should be
added.''
Does anyone know of any relevant documentation that says what
mail/mailx should be called? If there's a general convention, I
suspect we should fix it upstream, instead of just patching it in
Debian.
Tks,
