Hi Jérôme,

Are you using testing repos in Arch? I'm assuming so, since I had the same issue as you.

I ended up trying lilypond-git from AUR. The package failed to build, however, with errors regarding a perl script called mf2pt1. I eventually got it to build by modifying mf2pt1.pl slightly. Once built, the problem of black whole/half notes disappeared. The lilypond-git maintainer in the AUR posted a patch (texlive-2011-workaround.patch) that works for me.

I'm happy to be wrong, but I think the lilypond binary in community was built to work with texlive-{core,bin}-2010 from extra, rather than texlive-{core,bin}-2011 from testing. I just haven't tested this hypothesis yet.

More info can be found in issue 1714 here on the bug tracker. Maybe I'm way off base, but I'm fairly sure the issues are related.
