The "build fix" patch is completely unrelated to the Pango bump patch, so they indeed should be tested separately. To prioritize, I would rank the Pango issue above my build fix issue.

As for the Pango patch, it should be combined with Jan's patch. However, one or both of the patches may need revision, because we should keep everything on the same GNOME platform (so that we can avoid the compile issue Graham posted above).

But... in case of breakages on the same platform when compiling for different architectures (say, darwin), we might want to bump each component separately.

Jan wants to bump everything to the 2.27.91 platform, but this would mean downgrading Pango to 1.25.5 (from the current 1.26.0). I would prefer to bump everything to the 2.32.1 platform, which contains Pango 1.28.3, but we might need a whole new set of patches to fix compile issues...
