define-markup-command and define-markup-list-command accept only a very limited set of argument lists. There is patch available as Issue number: 969046 (http://codereview.appspot.com/969046) but it does not meet the requirements for Lilypond contributions. Someone would need to bring it into a shape acceptable for committing, and the original contributor has lost interest. -- David Kastrup
