Not sure; I imagine that it would be useful to have a tapered end/begin piece
of the trill, but adding multiple wave elements just to exactly match the line 
length seems silly to me. I'd be better to adjust the position of the arrow
so it overlaps the wave consistently.

However, this may all be overkill; the sample in the NEWS wsa intended as 
demo.  I haven't ever seen this combination in practice.
