Yes, this notation is definitely a lot nicer than my suggestion. And it is 
also sufficient for all reasonable usages.

And if someone for some perverse reason would like to print a single stanza 
unaligned to a note, then this is still possible but a bit painful (put the 
unaligned stanza between two sequencial \addlyrics).
