im pretty confused by that statement - how is GNU or savannah
special in that regard, from any other projects or forges?
This was covered in my last message where I anticipated a desire for
rationale, so I included it.

You can shoot the messenger after taking issue with something they've
shed light on, as is happening here, or you could just... not.
