It seems there is actually spooky charset problems happening upstream, but it's
fixed (for now). There's still mangling of special characters, but LibreJS
doesn't give syntax errors due to Unicode whitespace:

I'm certain it's because the server doesn't send the charset when individually
getting the javascript files. Now there's a testcase, I might try digging around
again later.
