   I just got there. On my kfreebsd-amd64 I applied the patch
   contained in [1], then arranged the setting by use of

      $ ./configure --with-wrap --with-pam
      $ make

   and after that every step compiles as is expected, no errors!

Sweet, will push it then.

   Of anecdotical value might be that it takes longer time to run
   the configuration script, than it takes to perform the actual
   compilation step.

Yup.  ./configure does take away alot of the silly things one might
need to do...  So I am happy.
