We are trying to compile telnetd and can't get past compile errors. If you can be of help, that would be great. We ran configure and had some warning messages but I don't think they apply to telnetd. They are shown below and have been reported to another gnu section. The typescript from the configure process is included: feb10scr.txt. The typescript from the make process is included: Feb10make.txt. configure: WARNING: netinet/ip.h:
present but cannot be compiled The compile errors we are getting are: address@hidden:/TNOSC/GNU_TELNETD/inetutils-1.4.2 # cd telnetd address@hidden:TNOSC/GNU_TELNETD/inetutils-1.4.2/telnetd # make source='telnetd.c' object='telnetd.o' libtool=no depfile='.deps/telnetd.Po' tmpdepfile='.deps/telnetd.TPo' depmode=aix /bin/sh ../depcomp xlC -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I.. -DPATH_LOGIN=\"/usr/bin/login\" -I../include -I.. -g -c `test -f 'telnetd.c' || echo './'`telnetd.c "telnetd.c", line 284.50: 1506-280 (E) Function argument assignment between types "unsigned long*" and "int*" is not allowed. "telnetd.c", line 353.18: 1506-068 (S) Operation between types "char*" and "int" is not allowed. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 1. Stop. If you are unable to help, just let us know. Thank you. |
