Hmm... Please compare outputs from `who' and `w'. Do they both show you
as logged in?
This may be due to the configure problems reported recently to the
list. You will find the patch at
http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?func=detailpatch&patch_id=436&group_id=35
Please inform me if it fixes the problem.

Have you tried `su -' ?
