Please provide a more complete sequence of steps so we can reproduce exactly what you are doing and then we can comment and debug.  Always use {C-h h m r} to report Hyperbole bugs if you can as that tells us something about your environment.

The problem is the following code in hui-mouse.el can execute properly
for hyperb:window-system is nil
