I'm working on a patch for libpager that moves the object lookups out
of the server functions. If I boot a system with this patch applied,
it hangs in the init-script cleaning temporary files. I'm not even
sure it's a deadlock, it could very well be a crashing rootfs. I
suppose I should investigate this using subhurds.
