I don't know anything about tmpfs, but I do know a thing or two about
symlinks. Most likely symlinks don't work for whatever reason you can't
create a file with content: libdiskfs defaults to storing the target
filename as the content of the symlink file. It could also fail later
if it can't set passive translators.
