Hi!
Like some of you already know, I've been working on removing the
`make -k', etc. parts of the commonly known instructions to build cross
compilers.
After reading through several recent and older recipes and documentation
and after trying out a lot of different possibilities, I'm finally able
to come up with the following scripts:
<URL:http://nic-nac-project.de/~schwinge/tmp/cross-gnu> and
<URL:http://nic-nac-project.de/~schwinge/tmp/cross-gnu-env>.
Feel free to use them to build your cross compilers and report everything
that could be improved.
Instructions and comments can be found in `cross-gnu'.
If there is interest, I can whip up a web page describing how you can use
the cross compiler efficiently, e.g. how you have to modify gcc's command
line to easily link to the cross compiled libraries of glibc and use the
cross compiled dynamic loader `ld.so' after you've put the files onto a
`native' system, without interfering with your current installation of
glibc.
Regards,
Thomas
