If you can't compile an oskit kernel using the compiler you tell oskit-mach
to use, then you shouldn't expect it to work very well. You should
probably be doing CC=x86-oskit-gcc configure.

What gave you the impression that it would be?

The usual way to do this is CFLAGS=-g when you run configure.
