Hi,
As I wrote my system with only SCSI disk and 2940U adapter doesn't work with
Hurd. While searching Internet for some advice I just checkout CVS GNUMach
and compile it with only --enable-aic7xxx. And it works! I add my network
card to ./configure and after 2 hours of downloading latest tarball and
rebooting I have the GNU system at last :-) After the success I tried to
boot with gnumach.gz provided in the tarball (gnu-20010308) and it _hangs_
again. So there is some problem with tarball's GNUMach.
BTW In installation guides it will be good to add the naming convention for
SCSI: sd0s1. It is obvious but this will make them more complete.
PS Running Hurd at last will undoubtly inspire me for the next major
revision of the Hurd Web page :-)))
