Yes, with this the 'help-version' test passes. It's worth noting that my automated tests are run from a daemon without controlling TTY (which perhaps complicates things?). When I run the tests manually (i.e. starting an OpenBSD VM and SSH'ing into it), the test does not fail. However I could trigger the failure by not creating a TTY in ssh: ssh -T openbsd-vm "cd gzip-1.8.18-00e6 ; make check" In any case, with this change the test pass even without TTY. regards, - assaf
