Hello
,
I have problem with
decompresion of file on Unix system:
101576996 May 11
03:47 ext_BR_WLY_616_20060831.dat.gz
$ gzip -d
ext_BR_WLY_616_20060831.dat.gz
gzip: ext_BR_WLY_616_20060831.dat.gz: invalid
compressed data--crc error
gzip: ext_BR_WLY_616_20060831.dat.gz: invalid
compressed data--length error
Is it an debug mode
to check where is the problem ?
The background of
issue is that file is send from one box to another in Binary mode but before it
is compresed with command gzip -9 .
When recived on
destination box decompresed by command gzip -d , results you can see
abowe.
What is strange that
it happen from time to time about 2 -3 times at 3000 files transfer
.
Does the GZIP
contain an debug mode to get more details of error ?
I am looking if
somthing else corrupt my file and will be compare size before transfer and
compresion sizes on both sites.
Thx for any
advices.
Regards
Bogdan
