In preparation to fix <https://issues.guix.gnu.org/58813>.
* gnu/packages/patches/git-header-cmd.patch: New file.
* gnu/local.mk (dist_patch_DATA): Register it.
* gnu/packages/version-control.scm (git) [source]: Apply patch.
