I have never actually been able to start the dockerd service using herd
explicitly. After booting:

address@hidden ~$ docker ps
Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the
docker daemon running?
address@hidden ~$ cat /var/log/docker.log
