there are some " ' " without closing " ' " and bash see this as the beginn fo a comment like // in C

the first without closing ' is in line 38 in "script's entry" but there are much more ' without corresponding '

 

in line 125 (`guile') and 144 (`-I') should be backticks not the high comma
