thanks for the reply. I realized that in version 1.5 the code works perfectly. Sorry for the alert. Sometimes the availability of RPMs prevents us from trying the latest releases.

Can you send an example program which demonstrates the problem in the
latest version of GSL -- I think this was fixed a long time ago.  Thanks.
