Thanks for the information.
The library is being built in /export/home/0061/build-indigo-irix6/gsl-1.4
but the error message refers to /usr/local/libn32/libgsl.so.1
Perhaps it is picking up the wrong version of the library if this a
previously installed version (e.g. gsl-1.3).
If not, I'd recommend using just ./configure --disable-shared.
