URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?39557> Summary: Incomplete image format support Project: GNU GRUB Submitted by: qwertial Submitted on: Tue 23 Jul 2013 04:37:31 PM GMT Category: User Interface Severity: Major Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Feature Request Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: Release: Bazaar - trunk Reproducibility: None Planned Release: None _______________________________________________________ Details: None of the currently implemented image loaders support palette or greyscale images ("jpeg: component count must be 3"; "png: color type not supported"; TGA: "unsupported bitmap format (unknown encoding)"). Interlaced PNG images are not supported either. Implementing palette support will help conserve space and minimise compatibility issues. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?39557> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
