Details:
When re-installing grub from a live CD, the option --root-directory <device>
comes in very handy when /boot is on a RAID 1, as auto-detection fails. It is
not documented in the manpage, only the --boot-directory. I propose the
following addition:
--boot-directory=DEVICE
install GRUB on DEVICE instead auto-probed device
