Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24368 (project grub): There is a patch that allows to have multiple kernel entries with arbitrary options: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=470398 Incorporating that patch or another that does a similar thing would be awesome.
