where can I get information about dual booting using Grub

Greetings,

 

I need to buy some Dell Latitude notebooks (D520) and have them be dual bootable (Windows and Linux).  When I get a notebook from Dell it will have Windows XP Pro already installed.  Where can I get instructions about installing GRUB and Linux so it is dual bootable?  I didn't find a way to even ask the question at Dell.
