New features for GRUB Legacy are not accepted anymore. And I doubt
that multiboot will be changed...
But the good news is that GRUB 2 is actively being developed. A new
multiboot standard is being worked on. Have a look on the wiki for
more information about both. Your suggestions sound sane to me so we
can at least consider them. :-)
