How Do I load XP from grub text mode.

I have partitioned my hard drive so as to have 2
O.Ss(Linux and 
XP).Everything was fine for 5 days but yesterday I
used Partition Magic to 
create one more partition for separate virtual memory.
It completed the 
process but then said something is illegal and
rebooted. This time GRUB 
instead of showing a multiple choice of O.Ss just
shows a command prompt 
grub >. Now I know that I have to load the kernel
files for Linux and 
WinXP through GRUB and then boot. But I dont know the
commands for 
loading the kernels of Linux and XP. Can I ever get
Grub back in the GUI mode again without reinstalling.
