Please revert the change. Your change is not a right way.

The term ``the boot directory'' is correct, because it is defined
earlier in the documentation. Take a look at the beginning of the
chapter ``Installation''. Note that ``the boot directory'' doesn't
mean the directory /boot in the context. The bug reporter just
misread it.

Maybe it would be better to change the term "the boot directory" to
something very different, in order to improve the
readability. Currently, I have no good idea, though.
