Root password

Hi,

   I do not know whether this is the correct forum to send this mail. This does 
not have anything to do with bugs in GRUB.
   I have forgotten my Linux root password and not able to boot into Linux now. 
In case of LILO I could have set the init shell to /bin/sh. I do not know about 
a similar easy method in GRUB. Can you please help me?
