Is this a GRUB bug? |

Up to a few days ago my system was Win NT 4 on hard disk 0 with OS/2 Boot Manager installed also, because I used to use it as well until IBM pulled the plug. Hard disk 1, slaved on the same IDE controller, had Mandrake 7.2. Then I deleted Mandrake and installed Lycoris (Redmond) Linux on the second disk and GRUB was installed as the default loader. Thereafter, I booted up to NT once, I think, and after that I get a GRUB "Hard Disk Error" and it never gets to Stage 2, I guess. Fortunately, I made a Linux rescue floppy and could boot to either OS with it.
The GRUB menu looks OK, and I also tried swapping the master/slave relationship between the 2 disks. No dice.
Now, I went further and out of desparation I did a bunch of things that really screwed up the box even more, so that I can't boot to NT at all. This is my problem and I'm trying to figure out what to do about it. Meanwhile. I thought you should know what happened to me initially, and consider if I should provide any additional data to you in case of a bug in GRUB.
