Do you hide the linux partition, when booting windows? Adding 0x10 to
the partition type is what hide does. It should not be necessary to
hide a linux partition prior to booting windows.

But AFAIK, GRUB should not have any problems with a linux partition
carrying the wrong partition type, nor should linux have.
