Off Topic-- Windows only viruses, and a US based school

(Cross posted to the lists for the GRUB boot loader, and the Linux BIOS
mailing list, and the list for OSkit, a project from a Utah based
school.)
For the past several weeks, I have been getting zapped by a virus which
naturally only attacks Windows based systems. Has anyone who runs such
an operating system, been getting such mail? Or even the folks on the
lists which run Linux? I am cross posting this message to the lists that
I know that I subscribe to, that are actively involved in such work. I
have communicated to the school whose system has been infected, and
sending out such mail, but to no avail, the school has not responded
appropriately. The only response was regarding a plug for an anti-virus
product which probably won't do the job. Never mind the fact that it is
a cross platform product.
