error when run configure

Hai
I' trying to install grub into i386 OpenBSD 3.0 machine. I have
downloaded grub-0.90.tar.gz from grub ftp site. After I untar that file
and run ./configure, it stop at:
checking whether objcopy works for absolute addresses... configure:
error: objcopy cannot create binary files
Any idea why?
