 I tried for a week, and gave up. I went back to LILO, and nearly have it.
I have it to the stage where LILO does actually print "LI". Which is a lot
further than I ever got with grub ("Grub hard disk error"). If anyone
be interested in giving me a hand in using grub, check out;
    http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/bug-grub/2001-December/006234.html

 Mail me offlist, if you want to see what I have. It's a script that...

 Checks loads of code out from a CVS repository, and build SRPMs from that code
 Builds an OS image from a dose of SRPMS (ours, and some standard GNU packages)
 Makes up a disk image (with a number of partitions inside)
 Makes some partition images, mounts them loopback, populates them, and
        dd's them into the disk image
 Runs lilo to install a bootloader into the disk image

 If you can make use of what I've done, and help me get that last 5%, I'd
be very grateful!

Kate
