How to load stage2 from lilo?

Hi folks,
My question see above.
I've got a problem. I am not allowed to install the grub on an embedded system, 
but I need a possibility to restore it from the net.
I thought of chainloading grub from lilo, but I didn't get it working.
Well, I voted for grub, but I was told to take lilo, because it was tested and 
is stable for a few years. Well, I'am using grub on every system I am allowed 
to. My rescue disk contains a grub, and gets the rest from the net. Works 
really great.
Our next HD version will include the grub no question, but now we need it, 
without removing lilo.

Are there any plans to build in a restore function (get an image over the net 
and write an a hd) into grub?
