thanks for your prompt answer first.
You guess right it is something about APM and ACPI. It means that
display and harddisk turn off and all data, you are working on,
remain in RAM. Over a settings-dialogue, you can choose after
which time of inactivity the computer should go to standby, it's
nearly the same? as the apm-scripts which I use in Linux on my
Laptop to turn the display off or spin down the harddisk.
