Um. You have to type it _exactly_ - --root-dir isn't going to work, you
have to type --root-directory.

See the above 2 lines. They specifically mention the option I'm referring
to.

It shouldn't be necessary. You just have to type the options as they're
given, you can't arbitrarily go shortening them. It does _not_ appreciate
that.
