I think there is a promblem with your kernel not with
grub. Seems that the compiling process was interrupted
when compressing the kernel. Perhaps try to rebuild the
kernel (don't forget: make dep && make clean). If it's
still failing, send the output of the compilation
(not on this list, because this is IMHO no Grub
problem) or ask your local LinuxUserGroup.
